Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment is partnering with an established Irish business launching a dedicated Solar PV division. They are seeking an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join at an exciting growth phase, delivering high-quality residential solar PV and battery installations.

You will work from site surveys through to installation, testing, commissioning and certification, ensuring Safe Electric and SEAI compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Irish electrical qualification required.
  • QC / Qualified Certifier status preferred.
  • SEAI Solar PV Installer registration required.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test and commission residential Solar PV systems.
  • Install and commission battery storage systems.
  • Carry out electrical works to high professional standards and safety.
  • Complete pre-installation site surveys and identify issues.
  • Support system design and installation planning.
  • Diagnose faults on site and resolve issues.
  • Complete testing, commissioning and certification documentation.
  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across installations.
  • Contribute to development of installation methods and best practices.
  • Assist in training of new installation team members as the division grows.

Job description

An established and highly respected business is launching a dedicatedSolar PV divisionand is looking for an experiencedSolar PV Electricianto join the team at an exciting stage of growth.

This is more than an installation role.You will be joining at the beginning of a new division, with the opportunity to help shape how solar and battery installations are delivered — from site surveys and technical planning through to installation, commissioning and certification.

The Role

As a Solar PV Electrician, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality residential Solar PV and battery installations while helping establish the technical standards and processes for a growing operation.

Your role will include:

  • Installing, testing and commissioning residential Solar PV systems.
  • Installing and commissioning battery storage systems.
  • Carrying out electrical works to a high professional standard.
  • Completing pre-installation site surveys and identifying potential technical issues.
  • Supporting system design and installation planning.
  • Diagnosing faults and resolving technical issues on site.
  • Completing testing, commissioning and certification documentation.
  • Ensuring all work complies with Safe Electric, SEAI requirements and Irish electrical regulations.
  • Working professionally in customers’ homes and providing an excellent customer experience.
  • Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety across every installation.
  • Contributing to the development of installation methods, standards and best practices.
  • Working with management to continuously improve quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Supporting the development and training of additional installation team members as the division grows.
What We're Looking For
  • A recognised Irish electrical qualification.
  • QC / Qualified Certifier status.
  • SEAI Solar PV Installer registration.
  • Proven experience installing residential Solar PV systems.
  • Experience with residential battery storage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Safe Electric requirements and Irish electrical regulations.
  • Experience testing and commissioning Solar PV installations.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • A full, clean driving licence.
