Job summary

Activ8 Solar Energies are actively seeking qualified Electricians to install and commission domestic Solar PV systems, based in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.

This full-time role includes a competitive salary, bonus, pension, healthcare and additional benefits, with six weeks of training. As a Solar Electrician you will install panels and electrical components, conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and verify performance using specialised equipment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with 3+ years domestic experience.
• Live within commutable distance of Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install solar PV systems and electrical components according to Safe electric specifications and SEAI code of practice.
• Conduct electrical inspections and maintenance on solar systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar systems.
• Test and verify system performance using specialised equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding their solar systems.
• Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
