Activ8 Solar Energies is seeking a skilled Electrician to install and commission domestic Solar PV systems from our Ballinasloe base in Co. Galway. The role includes training and a full benefits package including salary, bonus, pension and health care.

You will install solar PV systems, perform inspections, troubleshoot, and ensure safety and quality in every project. The ideal candidate is a qualified Electrician with 3+ years domestic experience, holds a valid driving license, and can work

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with 3+ years domestic experience.
• Live within a commutable distance of Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Test & Verification certification would be an advantage.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels and electrical components according to Safe electric specifications and SEAI code of practice.
• Conduct electrical inspections and maintenance on solar systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar systems.
• Test and verify system performance using specialised equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding their solar systems.
• Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.

The Opportunity

As a Solar Electrician you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems primarily on residential properties. You will receive 6 weeks of complete and thorough industry-specific training.
