Job summary

Muiriosa Foundation Ltd in Laois is seeking a Social Care Worker with team lead responsibilities to join Laois Day Services on a fixed-term 12-month contract (72 hours per fortnight). You will support individuals to develop independent living skills and participate in community inclusion, promoting health and wellbeing.

The role requires a Level 7 Diploma in Social Care, CORU registration or in progress, and a valid Irish driving license.

Qualifications

• Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications), CORU registered or in process.
• A valid Full Driving Licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
• Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, autism and/or behaviours of concern.
• Excellent organisational, logistical and IT skills (advantage).
• Remuneration based on June 2026 pay scales.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with independent living skills, community inclusion and wellbeing.
• Promote personal health and wellbeing and motivate individuals to pursue personal goals.
• Take on team lead responsibilities within Laois Day Services as required.
• Willingness to work across a variety of locations as needed.
