Job summary

Muiríosa Foundation invites applications for a Social Care Worker in the Westmeath Day Services. The role focuses on empowering individuals to live independently, engage with their community and build meaningful relationships.

Ideal candidates have a CORU-registered qualification (Level 7+), a Diploma in Social Care or equivalent, and a full manual driving licence. The team emphasizes person-centred planning and supportive, collaborative work with local communities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Social Care or related CORU approved qualification (Level 7+).
• Experience with adults who have intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
• Full driving licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and IT skills.
• Ability to work in person-centred, community-based supports.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to help individuals live a life of their choosing.
• Support individuals to connect with their local community and build valued social roles.
• Assist individuals with communication needs and challenging behaviours as needed.
• Apply person-centred planning and individualised support approaches.
