Job summary

MedGen Healthcare Ireland are recruiting multiple Social Care Worker positions in County Cork to support individuals with diverse needs in residential, community and day services.

The roles require QQI Level 7/8 or CORU registration, with experience in disability/mental health care. Travel may be involved and shifts include evenings/weekends/sleepovers in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7/8 in Social Care or CORU registration.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health needs or complex needs.
• Full driving licence desirable.
• Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and sleepovers.
• Travel may be involved.

Responsibilities

Social Care Worker:

Pay: €26.00-€62.00 per hour

Job Description:

MedGen Healthcare Ireland are currently recruiting for a number of Social Care Worker positions in County Cork supporting individuals with diverse needs in residential, community, and day service settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care and support to service users, promoting independence and personal development

• Support service users with daily living activities, including personal care, education, employment, and leisure activities

• Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with organisational policies

• Work collaboratively with families, multi-disciplinary teams, and external agencies

• Promote safeguarding and advocate for service users’ rights

Essential Requirements:

• QQI Level 7 or 8 qualification in Social Care or related discipline (e.g., Social Work, Youth Work) OR Valid CORU Registration / Ongoing Registration Application

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health challenges, or complex needs

• Full clean driving licence (desirable)

• Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers

• Travel may be involved
