Job summary

MedGen Healthcare Ireland is recruiting Social Care Workers to support individuals with diverse needs in residential, community, and day services in County Wexford. The roles offer hourly pay between €26.00 and €62.00.

You will work with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges, providing person-centred care and promoting independence. Travel and varied shift patterns may apply.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7/8 in Social Care or CORU registration
• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health challenges, or complex needs
• Full clean driving licence (desirable)
• Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers
• Travel may be involved

Job Description:

MedGen Healthcare Ireland are currently recruiting for a number of Social Care Worker positions in County Wexford supporting individuals with diverse needs in residential, community, and day service settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care and support to service users, promoting independence and personal development

• Support service users with daily living activities, including personal care, education, employment, and leisure activities

• Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with organisational policies

• Work collaboratively with families, multi-disciplinary teams, and external agencies

• Promote safeguarding and advocate for service users’ rights

Essential Requirements:

• QQI Level 7 or 8 qualification in Social Care or related discipline (e.g., Social Work, Youth Work) OR Valid CORU Registration / Ongoing Registration Application

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health challenges, or complex needs

• Full clean driving licence (desirable)
