Job summary

MedGen Healthcare Ireland is seeking Healthcare Assistants across County North Dublin to join our team. You will work with nursing staff to provide person-centred care, build relationships with residents, and support daily activities in a care home environment.

The role requires QQI Level 5 in Healthcare, 6 months' healthcare experience, and excellent English communication. A competitive hourly rate is offered with flexible shifts and employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 healthcare qualification required.
• Minimum 6 months healthcare experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the nursing staff to deliver person-centred care.
• Getting to know residents' interests and providing companionship.
• Assisting with personal appearance and hygiene while maintaining dignity.
• Participating in organising and carrying out social activities.
• Assisting in the upkeep of high standards of cleanliness in the home.
• Contributing to the maintenance of Health and Safety in the home.
• Any other duties deemed necessary by Nurse in Charge and management.

Pay: €20.00 - €45.00 per hour

MedGen Healthcare Ireland are looking for Healthcare Assistants, for a number of positions across County North Dublin

Role Requirements:

• Supporting the nursing staff and team in delivering quality person-centred care to meet the needs of residents




• Getting to know residents’ interests and needs providing attention, support and companionship




• Enabling and assisting residents to maintain their personal appearance /hygiene needs whilst always maintaining their dignity




• Participating, organising and carrying out social activities




• Assisting in the upkeep of high standards of cleanliness in the home




• Contributing to the maintenance of Health and Safety in the home




• Any other duties deemed necessary by Nurse in Charge and management

Candidate Requirements:

• QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare (or equivalent)




• Minimum of 6 months experience in a healthcare environment




• Excellent communication skills




• Can work independently and/or part of a team




• Valid eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland




• Fluent level of English, both written and oral
