Job summary

Quid, Inc. is seeking committed Social Care Workers to support young people in a residential care setting in Leinster, Ireland. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred support to promote safety, emotional wellbeing, and positive life outcomes.

You will work with a trauma-informed, values-led team to create a nurturing environment and support young people in daily routines, education, and meaningful activities, including shift work as required.

Qualifications

  • Level 7 qualification or higher in Applied Social Care or a related discipline (CORU-approved or eligible).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, professional standards, and young people's rights.

Job description

You will contribute to creating a nurturing environment and play a key role in helping young people thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent, person-centred care and support to young people in line with individual care plans.
  • Promote independence, education, emotional wellbeing, and positive social development.
  • Work collaboratively within a trauma-informed, values-led team to support therapeutic care approaches.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, stable, and supportive residential environment.
  • Build trusting relationships with young people and encourage engagement in daily routines and activities.
  • Participate in shift work, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Level 7 qualification or higher in Applied Social Care or a related discipline (CORU-approved or eligible).
  • Full, clean manual driving licence.
  • Willingness to work a flexible rota, including sleepovers and unsocial hours.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, professional standards, and young people's rights.
