Job summary

TerraGlen Residential Care Services is seeking a Social Care Worker to provide person-centred support for individuals with disabilities in Tullydonnell, Dunleer. You will assist with daily living, community inclusion and independent living skills, while promoting dignity and choice in line with New Directions.

You will work as a Key Worker, forming strong relationships with service users, families and our multidisciplinary teams, and you will keep records in line with HIQA standards and

Qualifications

• CORU registration required or in progress
• Valid full driving licence with at least 2 years’ experience
• Commitment to supporting people with disabilities

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support in daily living, community inclusion and independent living skills
• Promote dignity, choice and active participation in line with New Directions
• Support service users with personal care, communication and emotional wellbeing
• Participate as a Key Worker and contribute to personal plans
• Build positive relationships with service users, families and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records in line with HIQA standards and TerraGlen policies
• Support safeguarding, risk reporting and quality improvements
• Work collaboratively as part of a warm, respectful team

Your Role

• Provide person-centred support in daily living, community inclusion, and independent living skills.

What You'll Need

• Level 7 or higher qualification in Applied Social Care or another CORU-approved discipline.
• CORU Registration (or proof of CORU application) - mandatory from 30 November as per the Social Care Workers Registration Board.
• Recognised qualification route or
• Recognition of Prior Learning / Assessment of Professional Competence route.
• Full, clean Driving Licence with minimum two years' experience.
• A genuine commitment to supporting people with disabilities.
