Job summary

Avista is seeking a Social Care Worker for Day Service Residential across Dublin 7, Dublin 11 and Dublin 15. This 35-hour, permanent part-time role requires CORU registration readiness, English proficiency, and a driver’s licence to operate a service vehicle.

You will support people with intellectual disabilities, deliver holistic, person-centred care, and contribute to each individual’s growth and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7 (or higher) in Social Care/Applied Social Studies; CORU registration eligibility.
• CORU registration up to date or application submitted for CORU.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Experience in intellectual disability and behaviours of concern.
• Holistic, person-centred approach to enable people to live their best lives.
• Awareness of New Directions.
• Willingness to support skill development.
• Full clean manual driving licence and ability to drive service vehicle.
• Avista competency framework Level 1 behavioural competencies.

• QQI Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or equivalent, the award must be considered eligible for CORU Social Care registration.

• Experience working within the area of intellectual disability and those who have behaviours of concern.

• Have an awareness of New Directions.
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.
