Job summary

Avista is seeking a Social Care Leader for Dublin Services Residential to drive person-centred, rights-based care across our residential settings. The role requires CORU-registered qualifications, strong management experience, and a commitment to HIQA standards.

You will lead staffing, ensure quality practice, and support service users to live their best lives. We offer an engaging, inclusive workplace with opportunities to develop teams, implement care plans, and promote advocacy for people

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7 in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or equivalent, CORU eligible.
• CORU registration or confirmation of application submitted.
• Management qualification completed or in progress.
• Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Minimum three years’ experience in social care or related sector.
• Experience in intellectual disability sector.
• Proficiency in English.
• QQI Level 8 is desirable but not required with Level 7 plus experience.
• Experience in person-centred planning.
• Awareness of HIQA regulations.
• Desire to support people to live their best lives.
• Supervision experience of staff or students.
• Experience supporting distress/behaviours of concern.

We provide a wide range of services including Day, Residential and Respite supports to both children and adults in various locations across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary.

• QQI Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or equivalent, the award must be considered eligible for CORU registration.
• Up to date CORU registration or Confirmation of application for registration submitted to CORU.
• Recognised management qualification FETAC/QQ1 Level 6 or equivalent- completed or to be enrolled in a recognised management course.
• Full clean driving licence for manual vehicles and access to own vehicle.
• Minium of three years’ experience in a relative sector.
• Experience working within the area of intellectual Disability.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• QQI Level 8 is desirable but applicants with level 7 degree who have relevant experience will be considered. The award must be considered eligible for CORU registration
• Have experience of Person-Centred planning.
• Have an awareness of HIQA and regulations.
• Desire to support people to live their best lives.
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.
• Experience in the area of staff or student supervision.
• Supporting people who display signs of distress/behaviours of concern.
