Job summary

Ward Personnel in Cork is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor/Working Foreperson to lead on-site activities across Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, and Food sectors. This hands-on role blends supervision with practical carpentry and fit-out work to deliver projects.

You’ll coordinate site teams, manage subcontractors, ensure safety, and drive timely project delivery while maintaining quality and efficiency on diverse sites across Ireland.

Qualifications

• Carpentry background with hands-on site delivery experience.
• Experience as Site Supervisor or Working Foreperson.
• Good understanding of construction processes, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day site activities.
• Carry out hands-on carpentry, fit-out, and general construction works.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to high quality standards.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Supervisor / Working Foreperson to join a growing construction team delivering projects across the Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, and Food sectors.

This role is ideally suited to a hands-on construction professional who enjoys leading site activities while remaining actively involved in project delivery.

The Role

This is not a desk-based management position.

The successful candidate will supervise and coordinate site works while also working alongside the site team when required. As some projects operate with lean site teams, the role requires someone who is equally comfortable managing site operations and undertaking practical carpentry and fit-out work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day site activities.
• Carry out hands-on carpentry, fit-out, and general construction works where required.

Proven carpentry background and practical site experience.

Ability to balance site supervision with hands-on project delivery.

Flexible approach and willingness to travel to project locations as required.

Experience with construction management software is advantageous.
