Job summary

Vision Contracting Ltd seeks a Site Manager to oversee day-to-day management of single or multiple construction sites. You will drive delivery on time and within budget while enforcing health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.

The role may involve senior leadership across sites and coordination with the Project Manager. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction, proven leadership, and strong planning and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

  • Third-level education or trade qualification.
  • 5+ years in a similar construction role.
  • Proficient with Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Site Manager

Reports To: Project Manager

Job Summary

The Site Manager oversees the daily management of either a large construction site or multiple smaller sites, ensuring that Vision Contracting Ltd (VCL) processes and procedures are effectively implemented. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while strictly adhering to the company’s Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality protocols. For large, multi‑sectional, or highly complex projects, the Site Manager may work as part of a broader team on‑site. However, they may serve as the senior leader, taking full responsibility for the overall management and successful delivery of multiple sites.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders, clients, and team members.

  • Expertise in implementing and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple site operations concurrently.
  • Confident and effective in making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met in every aspect of construction activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster cooperation among diverse teams.

  • In‑depth knowledge of current building regulations and certification standards.
  • Experience working with both main contractors and subcontractors.
