Site Manager Job Specification

Opportunities in both Dublin and Cork

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and liaise with other members of the construction team to ensure a successful project outcome.

• Proven experience in site management within the mechanical contracting industry, demonstrating expertise in team leadership, process optimisation, subcontractor management, and a strong understanding of heating, plumbing and ventilation systems.
• Take full ownership of progress, commissioning and handover.
• Manage the complete installation of all building services, coordinating with other construction activities from specification and procurement through to installation, testing and commissioning in commercial, industrial, educational, hospitality, residential and healthcare buildings.
• Ensure quality is maintained through on‑site supervision and submit Test Certificates weekly.
• Oversee M&E subcontractors on-site, ensuring programme and quality expectations are achieved.
• Review quality of work and recommend remedial works when non‑compliance occurs.
• Generate and respond to RFIs as appropriate.
• Maintain As Built drawings weekly.
• Maintain photographic records and sign off.
• Submit As Installed drawings to the office for drafting up.
• Submit Valve Tag List for printing prior to handover.
• Ensure commissioning certificates are received and reviewed for all equipment.
• Ensure handover is notified to the office and recorded on file.
• Manage direct employees in terms of quality control, adherence to work schedules, and progress reports, together with all procedural company documentation.
• Proactively eliminate issues as they arise in the most effective manner.
• Plan commissioning programmes and witness implementation.
• Be knowledgeable with specifications, service drawings, architectural and structural details, liaising with design teams and coordinating subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with company standards and programme.
• Other ad hoc duties may arise.
