Jons Civil Engineering Company Ltd in Leinster seeks an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to work on civil engineering and infrastructure projects. This hands-on, site-based role focuses on promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

You will implement Health & Safety Plans, carry out site inspections and audits, investigate incidents and ensure compliance with Irish legislation, company procedures and project requirements.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience in a similar role within civil engineering or construction.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction safety requirements.
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsabilités

• Work closely with Contracts Managers and Site Teams to promote a positive, proactive safety culture.
• Ensure Health & Safety Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other required documentation are in place and maintained.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and safety meetings, identifying risks and driving improvements.
• Monitor compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and project requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
• Proactively identify safety requirements based on upcoming works and project programmes.
