Job summary

Pivotal Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a permanent role in Cork, Ireland. You will work under the Project Manager and Site Manager, providing technical support and delivering setting-out, levelling and surveying to ensure the project meets drawings, specs and quality standards.

The role emphasizes coordination with subcontractors and design teams, maintaining records, and contributing to the project programme while upholding Health & Safety and QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Engineer in the construction industry.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience on construction projects in Ireland is desirable.
• Strong setting-out, levelling and surveying experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and surveying software advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support to the Project Manager and Site Manager.
• Carry out setting out, levelling and surveying of works.
• Ensure setting out and engineering works meet drawings, specs and project requirements.
• Review drawings and specs, identify discrepancies.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and design teams.
• Monitor subcontractor works for quality and compliance.
• Assist planning to achieve the construction programme milestones.
• Maintain accurate site records and as-built documentation.
• Prepare RFIs and design queries for project teams.
• Liaise with design team to resolve technical queries.
• Carry out quality inspections and QA/QC documentation.
