Job summary

Clancy is hiring a Site Engineer to work on sites in the Cork area. You will lead setting-out activities, review drawings, and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and the project team to ensure accurate information and smooth construction progress.

The ideal candidate has an Engineering Degree with at least three years' on-site experience, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent English communication. A collaborative, safety‑focused approach is essential in our dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with minimum three years’ site experience.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating with consultants and subcontractors.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English.
• Ability to supervise site works and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the engineering function on site, focusing on setting out and levels.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and workforce to ensure information accuracy.
• Review detailed designs and communicate with designers for construction readiness.
• Coordinate design development from drawings to approved workshop drawings.
• Read and interpret drawings for layouts and materials, measure and plan.
• Plan works to meet program targets while maintaining safety and quality.
• Order and control materials on site and maintain records.
• Attend regular team meetings and ensure BCAR coordination.
• Ensure quality and safety compliance on site.
