Job summary

Nexus Building & Civil Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Site Engineer (Civil) to join our growing team. This role involves setting out works, interpreting drawings, maintaining records and ensuring quality across diverse civil projects.

You will work with project managers and site crews on residential, commercial civils, utilities and drainage projects, with opportunities for regional or nationwide work. A degree in civil engineering and strong setting-out skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree/qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Previous site engineering experience.
• Strong setting-out ability.
• Experience with GPS and/or Total Station equipment.
• Good understanding of civil drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a site team.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Setting out civil engineering works using GPS, Total Station and laser equipment
• Interpretation of drawings, specifications and construction details
• Maintaining accurate site records, surveys and as-built information
• Quality control and inspection of completed works
• Assisting with site measurements and quantities
• Coordinating subcontractors, plant and site crews
• Monitoring works against programme and identifying potential issues
• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications and relevant standards
• Liaising with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders
• Supporting site Health & Safety and environmental requirements
• Assisting with procurement and forward planning of works

Site Engineer (Civil)

Nexus Building & Civil Engineering Ltd. is seeking an experienced Site Engineer (Civil) to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, motivated engineer who enjoys working on a variety of civil engineering projects. Options are available for regional work or for nationwide work.

The Role

Working closely with our Project Managers, Site Managers and site crews, responsibilities will include:

• Setting out civil engineering works using GPS, Total Station and laser equipment
• Interpretation of drawings, specifications and construction details
• Maintaining accurate site records, surveys and as-built information
• Quality control and inspection of completed works
• Assisting with site measurements and quantities
• Coordinating subcontractors, plant and site crews
• Monitoring works against programme and identifying potential issues
• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications and relevant standards

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree/qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
