Job summary

PACE is partnering with a respected Contractor to appoint a Site Engineer to join their growing team in Co. Laois. You will drive high-caliber housing schemes from ground-break to handover, overseeing site setting-out, surveying, and daily logistics in collaboration with the Site Manager.

Strong setting-out skills, a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, and experience with Total Station/Robotic instruments are preferred. Salary €65,000–€75,000 DOE with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Proven track record as Site Engineer within general building or residential contracting.
• Hands-on setting-out with Total Station/Robotic instruments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site setting-out and land surveying across projects.
• Maintain tight quality control aligning with design specs and drawings.
• Coordinate with Site Manager on technical queries, daily logistics, and subs.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and maintain project documentation.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Proven track record as a Site Engineer within general building or residential contracting.
• High proficiency in setting-out technique; hands‑on familiarity with Total Station / Robotic instruments preferred.
• Solid technical grasp of engineering specs, structural drawings, and building regulations.
• Clear communication skills with a collaborative approach to managing subcontractors and site teams.
