Job summary

Reach Active Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support across projects in Ireland. The role involves cost estimation, budgeting, and active cost control to keep projects aligned with schedules and contractual obligations.

You will engage in subcontractor procurement, value engineering, and risk mitigation while ensuring compliance with NEC3 and FIDIC terms. Travel across Ireland with occasional overnight stays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity surveying for trenching, ducting, substations and overhead lines.
• Experience in commercial management and subcontractor procurement.
• Strong monthly reporting and earned value analysis skills.
• Knowledge of contract conditions, law in construction industry and NEC3/FIDIC terms.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost estimates and project budgets.
• Support cost control, monitoring and monthly CVRs.
• Conduct site visits to compare progress with schedules and cost.
• Manage subcontractor payments and contract documentation.
• Support tender pricing and contract documents.
• Mitigate commercial risks and implement risk management policies.
• Assist in authorising project variations and contract placements.
• Maximise cash flow by measuring and valuing work and paying suppliers.
