We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer/Site Agent to join our team on a large civil infrastructure project based in Mayo. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional to play a key role in the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects.
Manage and coordinate all site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Lead and supervise site teams, including foremen, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring efficient allocation of labour, plant and materials. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) requirements and company procedures. Drive commercial performance by managing project costs, maximising value, identifying value engineering opportunities, and maintaining accurate site records. Liaise effectively with clients, designers, stakeholders, and the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Review and coordinate technical documentation, drawings, and construction methodologies to support efficient project execution. Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining productivity, programme targets, and quality standards. Contribute to project planning, progress reporting, and overall project delivery.
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 10 years' post-graduate experience. 5+ years' experience working on road/bridge projects. Experience working on projects valued over €1m. Ability to manage and lead teams of foremen, engineers and subcontractors. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs, budgets etc. Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
