Job summary

Jons Civil Engineering Co Ltd in Dublin is seeking experienced Senior Engineers/Site Agents to lead civil infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned construction professionals to contribute to major infrastructure work across Ireland.

You will manage site activities, coordinate teams, ensure HSEQ compliance, control costs and deliver projects on time and to high quality standards, while liaising with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years' post-graduate experience.
• Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects (roads, rail, bridges).
• Ability to manage and lead teams of foremen, engineers and subcontractors.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs and budgets.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all site activities to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
• Lead and supervise site teams, foremen, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements and procedures.
• Drive commercial performance by managing costs, maximising value and identifying value engineering opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, designers, stakeholders and project team for successful delivery.
• Review and coordinate technical documentation, drawings and construction methodologies.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining productivity, programme targets and quality.
• Contribute to project planning, progress reporting and overall delivery.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Lead and supervise site teams, including foremen, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring efficient allocation of labour, plant and materials.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) requirements and company procedures.
• Drive commercial performance by managing project costs, maximising value, identifying value engineering opportunities, and maintaining accurate site records.
• Liaise effectively with clients, designers, stakeholders, and the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Review and coordinate technical documentation, drawings, and construction methodologies to support efficient project execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining productivity, programme targets, and quality standards.
• Contribute to project planning, progress reporting, and overall project delivery.

Requirements:
