Job summary

McDermott's Furniture in Castlebar invites applications for a detail-oriented Showroom Admin. This standalone, full-time role (Mon-Fri) is based at our Castlebar showroom, focused on accurate administration and smooth daily operations in a busy, people-facing environment.

You will process purchase orders, acknowledge orders, reconcile delivery dockets, schedule customer deliveries and handle customer service enquiries with warmth and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an administration or office-based role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with figures and documentation.
• Warm, professional manner when dealing with customers.
• Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities.
• Familiar with standard office software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders, acknowledge orders and reconcile delivery dockets against purchase orders.
• Schedule customer deliveries in an efficient and timely manner.
• Serve as first point of contact for customer service enquiries, with professionalism and care.
• Support the wider team with general administration as required.
