Job summary

Electricity Supply Board (ESB) Dublin Stations is seeking a Shift Team Leader to oversee safe, reliable and commercial operation of the generating plant. Based in Dublin, you will lead the on-site Operations team, schedule shifts, develop staff and ensure adherence to Safety Rules.

You will work with cross-functional teams, participate in projects and reporting, and contribute to ESB's transition to a zero-carbon future.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent or DIT Certificate in Power Plant Technology (Plant Management) or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in power plant operations, maintenance or related fields is desirable.
• Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of all plant on site.
• Lead and develop the shift Operations team and manage rostering.
• Maintain safety and environmental obligations and compile reports.
• Contribute to projects and process improvements.
• Interact with other departments to support business needs.
