Job summary

ESB in Ireland seeks a Supervisor for Turlough Hill & Liffey Stations to lead electrical and mechanical maintenance across the pumped-storage and hydro facilities. The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and ability to manage contractors, with weekend and night work as required.

You will oversee maintenance planning, budgeting, and adherence to ESB standards to ensure reliable plant performance. The successful candidate will work across all station functions, develop teams, and ensure

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in power station maintenance or similar heavy process industry.
• FAS / SOLAS / Senior Trade qualification in an Electrical discipline or equivalent.
• Full B driving licence.
• Strong safety focus and ability to lead safety culture.
• Team building and leadership qualities with supervising personnel experience.
• Experience in Work Management Systems and Contractor Management.
• Knowledge of PC’s, control systems, and high voltage testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise maintenance teams and contractors.
• Promote teamwork by empowering maintenance teams to deliver optimum capability.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Deliver work across station areas including maintenance, operations, technical and support functions.
• Ensure safety systems and risk assessments are followed.
• Carry out hands-on work when required.
• Develop budgets and manage procurement, spares and inventory.
• Act as Permit Holder and Work Controller for station areas.
