Job summary

Westrock Company, Inc. is seeking a Shift Production Manager in Ireland to lead the production team, ensure safety, and deliver on time and quality commitments. The role requires interfacing with operations, maintenance and quality functions to drive efficiencies.

The successful candidate will oversee manufacturing processes, implement continuous improvement projects and coach team members to meet targets while maintaining compliance and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification preferred, ideally degree level.
• 3 years' experience in a similar manufacturing role.
• Awareness of SHE legislation and standards.
• Knowledge of GMP.
• Strong knowledge of Pharma/Life Sciences customer quality and delivery requirements.
• Technical knowledge of prepress, print and finishing would be an advantage.
• Logistical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Strong engineering background desirable.
• Numerical / verbal reasoning skills at management norm.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all areas of the production process and ancillary operations including cleaning, warehousing and shipping.
• Meet delivery and quality targets while maximising production efficiency and minimising costs.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure staff compliance with procedures.
• Drive production performance and provide regular feedback on performance.
• Implement lean improvements and KPI reporting across area of responsibility.
• Manage new product introductions and coordinate with other departments.
