Job summary

Sprout is seeking a Shift Leader to lead shifts, ensure a smooth operation and a welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff in Ireland. You will supervise the team, keep the shift moving, and take responsibility for the guest experience as you grow into a leadership role.

You’ll report to the Restaurant Leader, work full-time, and earn €15 per hour with opportunities to develop through Sprout University and internal promotion.

Qualifications

• Around 1 year’s experience in hospitality or a fast-paced environment.
• Be ready to take more responsibility and develop leadership skills.
• Excellent communication with the team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and ensure the team knows their roles and remains moving.
• Create a great customer experience by making customers feel welcome and looked after.
• Support your team with clear communication and real-time feedback.
• Keep energy high with teamwork, recognition, and a positive atmosphere.
• Protect our standards by monitoring food quality, portions, and presentation.
• Keep the restaurant ready by overseeing cleanliness, checklists, and stock.
• Champion safety by understanding and following food safety and health & safety standards.
• Listen to customers and team, act on feedback, and report to the Restaurant Leader.

At Sprout, our Shift Leaders play a big role in how our restaurants feel - for both our team and our customers.

You’ll lead shifts from the front, keep things moving when it gets busy and help create an environment where people enjoy coming to work and customers want to come back.

This is a great next step for someone who loves people, takes responsibility and wants to start developing as a leader.

What you’ll do

Lead the shift

Help set the team up for success, make sure everyone knows their role and keep the shift moving. When it gets busy, you’ll be right there with the team leading from the front.

Create a great customer experience

Make sure customers feel genuinely welcome and looked after. Keep an eye on what’s happening in the restaurant and step in when someone needs a little extra help.

Support your team

Be someone the team can turn to during the shift. Communicate clearly, give real-time feedback and help people build confidence in what they do.

Keep the energy right

Help create a restaurant that feels good to work in - good communication, teamwork, recognition and a bit of fun along the way.

Protect our standards

Keep an eye on food quality, portioning, presentation and the overall look and feel of the restaurant. Notice the small things and take action when something isn’t right.

Keep the restaurant ready

Stay on top of cleanliness, checklists, stock and the little jobs that keep the restaurant running smoothly throughout the day.

Champion safety

Help make sure food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are understood and followed by everyone on shift.

Listen and take action

Pay attention to what customers and the team are telling you. Help solve problems in the moment and share feedback with your Restaurant Leader so we can keep getting better.

A little about experience

You don’t need to have been a leader before. What matters most is that you’re ready to take more responsibility, can communicate confidently with the team and customers, and genuinely want to develop your leadership skills.
