Job summary

Sprout is seeking a Team Leader to set the tone on shifts, support the Restaurant Leader, develop staff and maintain high standards in food, service and hospitality. You will own shift plans, coach teammates and lead by example, helping the restaurant run smoothly and safely.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in hospitality or another fast-paced, high-standard environment.
• Ability to coach people on the job and give clear feedback.
• Willingness to grow as a leader and step up when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead great shifts by setting the shift plan and directing team to stay on schedule.
• Develop your team by coaching newcomers and providing constructive feedback.

As a Team Leader, you help set the tone for the restaurant. You’ll lead great shifts, support your Restaurant Leader, develop the people around you and make sure our food, service and standards are where they should be.

This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, leads by example and wants to keep growing as a leader.

Reporting to: Restaurant Leader
Contract: Full-time
Pay: €16.35–€18 per hour, depending on experience and role

What you’ll do

Lead great shifts

Set the team up for success, own the shift plan and make sure everyone knows where they need to be. Keep things moving when it gets busy and lead calmly from the front.

Develop your team

Support new starters, coach people on the job and give clear, useful feedback. Spot potential in others and help them build confidence and take the next step.

Create a great place to work

Build strong relationships with the team, encourage open communication and make sure people feel supported, recognised and part of what’s happening.

Deliver brilliant hospitality

Make sure customers feel genuinely welcome and looked after. Step in when something hasn’t gone right and find a way to turn the experience around.

Protect our food standards

Keep a close eye on quality, portioning, prep and presentation so that every bowl leaving the line feels like Sprout.

Keep the restaurant ready

Stay on top of checklists, cleanliness, stock and restaurant procedures so the team has everything they need to deliver a great service.

Champion safety

Make sure food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are understood and followed throughout every shift.

Support the bigger picture

Work closely with your Restaurant Leader on things like recruitment, retention, stock, waste, rostering and improving how the restaurant runs.

A little about experience

If you’re joining Sprout externally, we’d ideally like you to have around 2 years’ experience in hospitality or another fast-paced, high-standard environment, with some experience taking responsibility for people or shifts.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone with the attitude and potential to grow. You’ll need to communicate confidently with the team and customers and be comfortable understanding food safety and restaurant procedures.
