Job summary

Marks & Spencer in Ireland seeks a confident Full-time Shift Lead to oversee floor readiness, while coordinating resources to serve, sell and fill. You will drive productivity, coach colleagues for opening readiness, and ensure a clean, safe, and well-presented store.

You will model great customer service and assist managers with performance observations. The role involves key-holder responsibilities, opening/closing duties, and supporting nearby stores when needed, all within a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• Must-have mindset for store operations, handling open/close tasks and ensuring floor readiness.
• Strong knowledge of customer service practices and brand standards.
• Familiarity with store safety, presentation, and stock control processes.
• Ability to interpret store data and respond to changing conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with colleagues and managers.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to store needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation to ensure a ready-to-trade sales floor.
• Coach colleagues on One Best Way and drive productivity for opening.
• Allocate resources to deliver quick payment experience.
• Enable daily operational processes across all store areas.
• Coordinate team to maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented store.
• Role model customer service and M&S behaviours.
• Assist Colleague Managers by sharing observations to boost performance.
• Support nearby stores if required.
• Be a key holder and respond to call-outs; handle opening/closing tasks.
