Job summary

Fruition Group Ireland is seeking an SHEQ Coordinator to support safety, health, environmental and quality activities in a busy operational environment with emphasis on compliance, reporting and continuous improvement.

You will administer SHEQ systems, maintain records and dashboards, support audits and investigations, and promote a strong safety and quality culture across operations. A 1+ year background in SHEQ and knowledge of ISO standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years' relevant SHEQ, HSEQ, safety, quality or compliance experience.
• Good understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance requirements.
• Experience maintaining structured records and performance data.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify compliance issues.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for practical improvements.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple activities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to collaborate with teams while managing responsibilities independently.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Exposure to GDP, HACCP or SQAS requirements.
• Knowledge of ADR in road transport and hazardous materials handling.
• Understanding of COMAH or major-accident hazard environments.
• Experience in SHEQ auditing, emergencies or incident management.
• Experience in logistics, transport, or regulated operations.
• Continuous improvement mindset and interest in broader SHEQ expertise.

Job description

Our client is seeking an SHEQ Coordinator to support the effective delivery of safety, health, environmental and quality activities within a busy operational environment, with a particular focus on compliance, reporting and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing administration, maintenance and improvement of SHEQ management systems, procedures and associated records.
• Maintain accurate compliance documentation, databases, dashboards and performance information, ensuring records remain current and accessible.
• Assist with internal and external audits, track resulting actions and support stakeholders in completing agreed corrective measures.
• Gather, review and analyse SHEQ data to support performance reporting, trend identification and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with accident, incident, near-miss and non-conformance investigations, including the coordination and monitoring of follow-up actions.
• Support the maintenance of risk assessments, safe working procedures and other relevant health, safety and environmental documentation.
• Coordinate SHEQ-related communications and activities, including employee inductions, training administration, safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Work collaboratively with operational managers and supervisors to promote strong compliance standards and a proactive safety and quality culture.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 1+ years' relevant experience within an SHEQ, HSEQ, health and safety, quality, compliance or similarly regulated operational environment.
• Good understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance requirements.
• Experience maintaining structured records, compliance information and performance data.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify potential compliance, safety or quality issues.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information and support practical improvements.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple administrative and compliance-related activities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams while also managing assigned responsibilities independently.
• Familiarity with recognised management and compliance standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Exposure to GDP, HACCP or SQAS requirements.
• Knowledge of ADR requirements relating to road transport.
• Understanding of hazardous materials or chemical-handling requirements.
• Awareness of COMAH or other major-accident hazard regulatory environments.
• Previous involvement in SHEQ auditing, emergency response activities or incident management.
• Experience within logistics, transport, industrial operations or another regulated operational environment.
• A continuous improvement mindset with an interest in developing broader SHEQ and compliance expertise.

Educational Requirements

• Third-level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, Science, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• Additional training or certification relating to health and safety, quality, environmental management or auditing would be advantageous.
