Job summary

Q-Nis in Dublin seeks a SHEQ Officer to drive safety, health, environmental and quality systems across offices, manufacturing facilities and installation projects. You will lead audits, risk assessments and continual improvement while ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards.

The role requires NEBOSH/IOSH certification, strong SHEQ knowledge, and excellent communication to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, supported by a NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Health & Safety certification
  • SHEQ experience within manufacturing, construction, engineering, HVAC, or similar operational environments
  • Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulations, and management systems
  • Proven experience conducting risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action management within a safety-critical environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and documentation skills, including report writing, Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and travel requirements
  • Knowledge and auditing experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001; membership of a recognised SHEQ professional body advantageous
  • Experience within HVAC, construction, manufacturing, MEP, building services, or related sectors
  • Proven experience managing subcontractor compliance in live environments

Responsibilities

  • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve the company's SHEQ management systems, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments, and environmental reviews, identifying risks and driving corrective and preventive actions
  • Prepare, review, and maintain SHEQ documentation, including RAMS, records, reports, KPI metrics, certifications, and statutory compliance documents
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, non-conformances, and environmental events, ensuring effective root cause analysis and resolution
  • Deliver SHEQ training, safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives to promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility
  • Monitor contractor, employee, and operational compliance with company procedures, project specifications, quality standards, and site requirements
  • Support internal and external audits, ISO management system compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, and emergency preparedness planning

Job Description:

With a strong Data Centre project pipeline and continued expansion of our product offerings and markets, we are seeking a SHEQ officer. To support and maintain the company's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) systems.Working across our offices, manufacturing facilities and installation projects to ensure compliance with legislation, company policies and standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
