Job summary

Actavo in Charleville, Cork, is seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to maintain and implement safety, environmental, quality and energy management controls in our ESB Team. You will ensure compliance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures across the division.

You will monitor the Integrated Management System ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and related certifications, prepare documentation, conduct trainings, investigations and contribute to safety plans on projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years SHEQ Advisor experience or similar.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Hold a recognised SHEQ qualification (Level 7/8).
• Train The Trainer qualification desirable.
• LUGS and/or SLG Card holder would be an advantage.
• ISO Internal Auditor experience advantageous.
• Chartered IOSH Membership status advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work with departments to ensure compliance with systems and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and support the Integrated Management System (ISO 45001, 9001, 14001, 50001) and certifications.
• Prepare and provide SHEQ documentation, SOPs and method statements.
• Be the SHEQ point of contact for PSCS activities and safety plans.
• Prepare and deliver SHEQ training courses and assessments.
• Conduct incident investigations and prepare reports.
• Prepare Safety & Environmental Plans for projects per SLA/KPIs.

Role Purpose:

As part or our ESB Team based in Charleville, Cork, you will be responsible for maintaining and implementing the safety, environmental, quality and energy management controls and procedures within the Division ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the various departments across the business to ensure company compliance with systems and regulatory compliance
• Monitor and support the implementation and operation of the Integrated Management System covering ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards along with other industry specific certifications / accreditations
• Compile and provide SHEQ documentation to support the operation of the business and projects, preparing Method Statements, Standard Operating Procedures or any other required documents
• SHEQ point of contact for PSCS activities on projects including preparation and maintenance of project health & safety plans and supporting the compilation of the safety file
• Prepare and deliver SHEQ training courses including conducting training assessments
• Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare reports for internal/external purposes
• Prepare Safety & Environmental Plans for various projects in line with client and Actavo’s SLA’s / KPI’s

Requirements:

• Full, clean driving licence
• Minimum of 3 years SHEQ Advisor experience
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
• Construction/ESB experience desirable
• Hold a recognised SHEQ qualification (Level 7/8)
• Train The Trainer qualification desirable.
• LUGS and/or SLG Card holder would be an advantage
• ISO Internal Auditor Experience as an advantage
• Member/Chartered Membership status of IOSH or similar advantageous
