Job summary

Actavo Group seeks a skilled SHEQ Advisor to join its Cork region team. You will maintain and implement safety, environmental, quality and energy management controls across projects, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.

Lead the Integrated Management System (ISO 45001/9001/14001/50001), prepare SOPs and reports, and deliver SHEQ training. A clean driving licence and Level 7/8 SHEQ qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years SHEQ Advisor experience.
• Holds a recognised SHEQ qualification (Level 7/8).
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• ISO/IOSH certifications and industry accreditations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and implement safety, environmental, quality and energy management controls.
• Monitor Integrated Management System (ISO 45001, 9001, 14001 and 50001).
• Prepare Method Statements and Standard Operating Procedures.
• SHEQ point of contact for PSCS activities on projects.
• Prepare and deliver SHEQ training courses.
• Conduct incident/accident investigations and reports.
• Prepare Safety & Environmental Plans aligned with client SLAs/KPIs.

Job description

Role Purpose:

As part or our ESB Team based in Charleville, Cork, you will be responsible for maintaining and implementing the safety, environmental, quality and energy management controls and procedures within the Division ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the various departments across the business to ensure company compliance with systems and regulatory compliance

• Monitor and support the implementation and operation of the Integrated Management System covering ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards along with other industry specific certifications / accreditations

• Compile and provide SHEQ documentation to support the operation of the business and projects, preparing Method Statements, Standard Operating Procedures or any other required documents

• SHEQ point of contact for PSCS activities on projects including preparation and maintenance of project health & safety plans and supporting the compilation of the safety file

• Prepare and deliver SHEQ training courses including conducting training assessments

• Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare reports for internal/external purposes

• Prepare Safety & Environmental Plans for various projects in line with client and Actavo’s SLA’s / KPI’s

Requirements:

• Full, clean driving licence

• Minimum of 3 years SHEQ Advisor experience

• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills

• Construction/ESB experience desirable

• Hold a recognised SHEQ qualification (Level 7/8)

• Train The Trainer qualification desirable.

• LUGS and/or SLG Card holder would be an advantage

• ISO Internal Auditor Experience as an advantage

• Member/Chartered Membership status of IOSH or similar advantageous
