E-Frontiers is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join our growing construction team on projects nationwide. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of projects throughout Ireland, with nationwide travel an essential part of the position.

A Civil/Construction Engineering qualification and extensive experience with Total Station, GPS and surveying equipment are required. Key responsibilities include accurate setting out, interpreting drawings and specifications,

Qualifications

• Relevant civil/constructi­on engineering qualification.
• Experience in Setting Out / Site Engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Setting out works accurately using Total Station, GPS and surveying equipment.
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Establishing levels, benchmarks, grids and control points.
• Carrying out site measurements and maintaining accurate records.
• Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers, subcontractors and site team.
• Monitoring works to ensure delivery in accordance with drawings and specs.
• Assisting with quality control and resolving technical issues on site.
• Maintaining accurate as-built information.
• Ensuring works comply with health and safety requirements.

Salary: €55,000 - €70,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a growing construction team on projects nationwide.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking for a varied role, with the opportunity to work across a range of projects throughout Ireland. Nationwide travel is an essential part of the position, so the successful candidate must be flexible and comfortable working across different locations.

The Role

As Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate setting out and engineering activities are delivered in line with project drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Setting out works accurately using Total Station, GPS and other surveying equipment
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and technical information
• Establishing levels, benchmarks, grids and control points
• Carrying out site measurements and maintaining accurate records
• Working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors and other members of the site team
• Monitoring works to ensure they are being delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications
• Assisting with quality control and resolving technical issues on site
• Maintaining accurate as-built information
• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements
• Supporting the wider project team with engineering and technical duties as required

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline
• Previous experience in a Setting Out / Site Engineering role
• Strong experience using Total Station, GPS and surveying equipment
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Good understanding of construction processes and site operations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Full clean driving licence
• Flexibility to travel nationwide
