Job summary

INFORM3 Recruitment is recruiting a Setting Out Engineer for an industrial project in Cork. This role involves setting out, checking works against drawings and regulations, and coordinating with subcontractors and site personnel to maintain programme and quality.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree with at least two years’ experience, proficient in setting out instruments, surveying, and reading drawings. On-site equipment management and coordination duties are included.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an engineering role.
• Proficient with setting out instruments and surveying.
• Knowledge of computer and database applications.

Responsibilities

About the Company

Working with a leading, family run, Tier 2 Contractor in Dublin. This Main Building & Civils contractor operate in Residential and Commercial sectors. The successful candidate will be working on a warehouse extension in Kildare. This role would be perfect for an engineer who has a good knowledge of setting out but wants to get more experience working on high value projects!

The Role

• Setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in the planning and construction of the project.
• Reading drawings and ensuring that works completed are accurate.
• Be responsible for equipment on site.
• Support the Project Manager/ Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.

Requirements

• A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an engineering role.
• Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications.
