Job Title – Junior Engineer - Building

Project – Residential Project

Job Location – Cork

Salary – €36K - €38K

About the Company

Working along a Tier 1 Contractor with multiple sites live across Cork. My client has a reputation for delivering high standard projects year on year.

They are keen to work with a Candidate that is eager to lean and progress in their career- there will be setting out involved under the supervision of the senior engineer and some supervisory duties too.

The Role

• Setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in in the planning and construction of the project.
• Support the Project Manager/ Contracts Manager & Senior Engineer to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.

Requirements

• A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 place years’ placement experience in an engineering role.
• Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
