Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Setting Out Engineer for a landmark Westport House development in Ireland. You will be responsible for precise setting out and surveying on-site, coordinating with site management and subcontractors to ensure measurements meet project specifications.

The role requires 2+ years in setting out, a relevant engineering qualification, and proficiency with Total Stations and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a Setting Out Engineer or similar role in construction
• Relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Comfortable using Total Stations and AutoCAD
• Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to drive to site

Responsibilities

• Accurate setting out and surveying of the construction site
• Using Total Stations and AutoCAD to interpret drawings and specifications
• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain alignment on technical aspects
• Maintaining detailed site records and reporting on progress and technical issues
• Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and quality standards

About Your New Role as Setting Out Engineer:

As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for the accurate setting out and surveying of works on the Westport House site, ensuring all measurements and technical requirements are met throughout the project. You will work closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure the project requirements are fulfilled to the highest standards.
