Job summary

ECC Group in Dublin is seeking a Site Engineer focused on setting out and surveying across multiple live sites. You will translate drawings to on-site delivery, maintain as-built records, and support programme milestones while upholding HSEQ standards.

The role demands strong technical use of surveying tools, excellent attention to drawings, and a full driving licence with travel across projects, mainly in Dublin and nationwide.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in site engineering/setting out within construction or civils.
• Strong technical ability using Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, Leica/Trimble equipment.
• Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Full driving licence and flexibility to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead setting out and surveying activities across multiple active sites
• Work closely with Project Managers, Foremen & Subcontractors to ensure seamless execution
• Translate drawings and specifications into accurate on-site delivery
• Maintain detailed as-built records, levels, QA documentation
• Support programme delivery by keeping works aligned to milestones
• Drive HSEQ standards, contributing to daily briefings and safety culture
• Travel across projects as required — primarily Dublin, with national exposure

We’re looking for a Setting Out Site Engineers to join a high-performing delivery team working across multiple high-profile construction projects. This role puts you at the centre of live site environments — driving precision, coordinating delivery, and ensuring every element is built exactly as designed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead setting out and surveying activities across multiple active sites
