Job summary

Miele Ireland is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair commercial appliances across hospitals, laboratories and medical facilities in the Republic of Ireland.

You will diagnose faults, install and decommission professional equipment, and work with planners and service partners to ensure first-time fix rates. Experience with medical products or medical validation is preferred, with some travel and occasional overnight stays expected.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing faults on medical and professional appliances.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities with test equipment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills for field work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs on washer disinfection, autoclave/steriliser appliances to a high standard.
• Install and decommission professional appliances in commercial/medical environments according to safety regulations.
• Deliver exceptional service experience while representing the Miele brand professionally in every interaction with customers.
• Maintain clear communication with planners, managers and service partners to support efficient service delivery and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate van stock, spare parts control and daily administration to support first-time fixes.
• Promote Miele care products, accessories, service contracts and maintenance solutions to customers.
• Participate in technical training to stay up-to-date with Miele products and diagnostic processes.

About the Role

As a Field Service Technician at Miele Professional, you will service and repair a wide range of commercial appliances across multiple customer environments, including laboratories,hospitalsand medical facilities. Your Responsibilities

• In close collaboration with customers and internal departments, carry out fault diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs on washer disinfector and autoclave / steriliser appliances to a high technical standard
• In line with health, safety and gas safe regulations, complete the installation and decommissioning of professional appliances across commercial and medical environments
• Through every customer interaction, contribute to an exceptional service experience whilealwaysrepresentingthe Miele brand professionally
• In partnership with planners, managers and service partners,maintainclear communication to support efficient service delivery and resolve technical issues effectively
• Bymaintainingaccuratevan stock, spare parts control and daily administration, support strong first-time fix rates and operational efficiency
• Through customer engagement and product knowledge, promote Miele care products, accessories, servicecontractsand planned maintenance solutions
• By activelyparticipatingin technical training and development,maintainup-to-date knowledge of Miele products, systems and diagnostic processes while working towards performance targets and key performance indicators

What We Are Looking For

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, including the ability to repair andmaintainprofessional electrical appliances using relevant test equipment
• Proven experience working within a field service or technical customer service environment while deliveringhigh standardsof customer support
• Sound technical knowledge of Irish power supplies, wiring components and appliance systems, with the ability toidentifyand resolve technical issues effectively
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload independently and build positive customer relationships
• A proactive approach to learning and development, includingmaintainingup-to-date product knowledge and completing technical training programmes
• Significant previous experience in working with medical decontamination devices including washer disinfectors and autoclave / sterilisers
• External qualifications (proof required) of the ability to carry out mandatory validation requirements on these devices

We have one full-time permanent positions to join our Miele Ireland team in the Republic of Ireland area. Candidates with experience in Medical products and / or with Medical Validation experience will only be considered for this role.
