Job summary

Miele Ireland is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair a range of commercial appliances across Ireland, including medical environments. You will diagnose faults, install and decommission equipment, and uphold the highest service standards while representing the premium Miele brand.

Some travel, occasional overnight stays, and out‑of‑hours work may be required. The role requires experience with medical devices and validation, good electrical knowledge, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Proven diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities on professional electrical appliances.
• Experience in field service or technical customer support.
• Knowledge of Irish power supplies, wiring components and appliance systems.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities for independent workload management.
• Proactive learning and participation in technical training programs.
• Experience with medical decontamination devices (washer disinfectors, autoclaves) and validation requirements.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with customers and internal teams, diagnose faults and service washer disinfector and autoclave appliances to high technical standards.
• Install and decommission professional appliances in commercial and medical environments per regulations.
• Provide exceptional service experience while representing the Miele brand professionally.
• Maintain clear communication with planners and service partners to enable efficient service delivery and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate van stock, spare parts control and daily administration to support first-time fix rates.
• Promote Miele care products, accessories, and maintenance solutions during customer interactions.

About the Role

As a Field Service Technician at Miele Professional, you will service and repair a wide range of commercial appliances across multiple customer environments, including laboratories, hospitals and medical facilities. From specialist laboratory equipment to critical medical devices, every day offers something different. Your Responsibilities

• In close collaboration with customers and internal departments, carry out fault diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs on washer disinfector and autoclave / steriliser appliances to a high technical standard
• In line with health, safety and gas safe regulations, complete the installation and decommissioning of professional appliances across commercial and medical environments
• Through every customer interaction, contribute to an exceptional service experience while always representing the Miele brand professionally
• In partnership with planners, managers and service partners, maintain clear communication to support efficient service delivery and resolve technical issues effectively
• By maintaining accurate van stock, spare parts control and daily administration, support strong first-time fix rates and operational efficiency
• Through customer engagement and product knowledge, promote Miele care products, accessories, service contracts and planned maintenance solutions
• By actively participating in technical training and development, maintain up-to-date knowledge of Miele products, systems and diagnostic processes while working towards performance targets and key performance indicators

What We Are Looking For

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, including the ability to repair and maintain professional electrical appliances using relevant test equipment
• Proven experience working within a field service or technical customer service environment while delivering high standards of customer support
• Sound technical knowledge of Irish power supplies, wiring components and appliance systems, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues effectively
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload independently and build positive customer relationships
• A proactive approach to learning and development, including maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and completing technical training programmes
• Significant previous experience in working with medical decontamination devices including washer disinfectors and autoclave / sterilisers
• External qualifications (proof required) of the ability to carry out mandatory validation requirements on these devices
