Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a Server Operations professional to manage full lifecycle operations for ByteDance servers in data centers. The role covers stability planning, monitoring, incident response, and coordination with multiple teams to ensure reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

Strong communication and coordination skills are required.
Ability to summarize effectively and produce clear documentation.
Solid foundation in programming with proficiency in at least one language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Go).
Working knowledge of server hardware and Linux systems, with Shell scripting proficiency.

Responsibilities

Ensure online server stability through planning, monitoring, and incident response.
Identify and mitigate stability risks across server hardware and software.
Oversee front-line operational staff and compile duty records and reports.
Contribute to development of stability capabilities and recovery mechanisms.
Define and align service SLOs with upstream/downstream teams.
Improve monitoring and alerting to drive governance and incident analysis.
