ByteDance in Ireland is seeking an experienced Network Engineering Manager to lead and grow our EMEA network engineering team. You will own planning, design, deployment, and operations of our network infrastructure across data centers, backbone, internet, and cloud environments.

This role blends strategic vision, people management, and hands-on expertise to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance at hyperscale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing and leading network engineering teams in hyperscale environments.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale networks and related technologies.
• Strong monitoring, performance management, and security practices.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 10+ network engineers.
• Define and execute a network strategy aligned with growth plans.
• Oversee design and deployment across data center, backbone, internet, cloud, and OTN.
• Drive cross-functional projects and improve operational efficiency.
• Establish and continuously improve network standards and practices.
• Provide insights and reporting on network performance and risks to senior leadership.
