Job summary

Salesforce Ireland is seeking a senior Workday specialist to own Absence and Time Tracking configurations for global payroll initiatives. You’ll translate complex business needs into scalable Workday setups, lead testing cycles, and coordinate with product, payroll, and HR teams across regions.

You will drive requirements, ensure SOX and security controls, and manage cross-functional stakeholders while optimizing payroll accuracy and processing timelines in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience configuring Workday Absence and Time Tracking.
• Strong understanding of absence plans, accruals, eligibility, and leave administration.
• Practical payroll experience and understanding of gross-to-net processing.
• Experience translating requirements into scalable Workday configurations.
• Experience leading testing, UAT, deployments, and post-production validation.
• Understanding Workday security, reporting, data structures, and integrations.
• Ability to diagnose complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Strong communication to lead across multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Ability to manage multiple customers, projects, and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to present complex ideas clearly to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner for Workday Absence and Time Tracking.
• Lead requirements-elaboration sessions with Product Management, Payroll, HR Ops, and others.
• Translate business use cases into detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Design, configure, test, and maintain time-off plans, rules, accruals, and validations.
• Partner with Product Management on prioritization and delivery tradeoffs.
• Identify dependencies; provide estimates and surface delivery risks.
• Evaluate solutions and maintain design decisions and procedures.
• Assess payroll impact and downstream processing implications.
• Define and execute functional, regression, integration, and payroll testing.
• Coordinate release-impact assessments, deployments, and post-deployment validation.
• Lead triage and root-cause analysis for production issues and payroll incidents.
• Execute SOX, audit, access, and change-management controls.
• Coordinate with developers for integrations or coded solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate testing, reconciliation, monitoring, and repetitive tasks.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools while maintaining security and privacy standards.
