Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator in Ireland to take ownership of day-to-day transport operations. You will lead drivers, optimise routes and ensure compliance, handling issues promptly and maintaining high standards across the team.

The role requires strong people management, hands-on coordination, and the ability to think on your feet, including early mornings and occasional weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in transport and logistics roles.
• Proven ability to manage drivers and optimise routes.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and motivate a team of drivers.
• Plan and adjust daily routes.
• Deal with absences, breakdowns, delays and last-minute changes.
• Recruit, onboard and manage driver performance.
• Ensure compliance with tachographs, ADR, CVRT and Operator Licence requirements.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing and maintenance; manage external partners.
