Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced Transmission Project Director to lead major power transmission projects in Ireland. This senior role covers end‑to‑end delivery, team leadership, client relationships and commercial performance.

You will drive project governance, risk management and safe execution, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Strong OHL experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline and recognised project management accreditation.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar senior project delivery role within the power industry.
• Must have strong Overhead Lines (OHL) experience
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and end-to-end project delivery.
• Proven commercial acumen, including budget management, P&L ownership and KPI delivery.
• Demonstrable leadership experience, with the ability to develop teams and drive performance.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage project teams, ensuring effective resource planning and delivery against objectives.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle, managing programme, cost, quality and performance against contractual requirements, SLAs and KPIs.
• Take ownership of project P&L, monitor financial performance, manage supplier and subcontractor costs, and maximise commercial outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and environmental standards, promoting a strong safety-first culture.
• Manage subcontractor performance across time, cost, quality and safety, addressing issues proactively.
• Build strong client relationships, lead project meetings and maintain effective communication across all stakeholders.
• Maintain robust project controls, reporting, risk management and compliance with technical standards and company procedures.
• Deliver successful governance and reporting that supports decision making and continuous improvement.
