Merck & Co., Inc. in Ireland is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to internal and external trade controls and to maintain the site's compliance posture.

You will collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and global trade compliance teams to align with company policies. The role requires strong knowledge of customs procedures, ADR/IATA/IMO/IMDG rules, and experience in pharma supply chains; you will also handle CBAM filings and lead compliance initiatives

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics and trade compliance within pharma.
• Certificate in customs compliance and trade facilitation.
• Knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs procedures.
• ADR/IATA/IMO/IMDG regulations for dangerous goods and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of Revenue procedures and GMP policies.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain Binding Tariff Information for new materials and ensure correct use in import/export.
• Leverage Inward Processing Agreement to obtain favorable duties on imports.
• Submit monthly Bill of Discharge to Revenue Commissioners.
• Maintain Authorized Economic Operator status with monthly reports and audits.
• Provide customs clearance instructions to brokers; prepare Intrastat & VIES reports.
• Act as Ireland point of contact for Irish Exporters Association.
• Logistics: manage freight budget and cross-charge to product cost; support TMS.
• CBAM reporting and related filings to Revenue.
• COMET Process Steward backup and SAP GRC access management support.
• Undertake other duties to support the team.
