Job summary

Waters Corporation in Ireland (Wexford) seeks a Principal Trade and Compliance Specialist to lead freight, duties, and customs compliance within the Supply Chain team. Hybrid work with on-site attendance three days weekly (Tues, Wed, Thu) in Wexford.

The role supports management reports and provides hands-on compliance and freight support. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years in trade/logistics, knowledge of HS classifications, customs regimes, and SAP/MRP systems, and is able to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or equivalent in Business, Logistics, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of Trade/Logistics experience.
Experience in import/export administration including HS classification, Customs valuation, Customs clearance, Country of Origin awareness.
AEO accreditation / IP Inward Processing (advantageous).
Ability to identify and propose corrective actions to resolve import/export issues.
Previous experience in customs operations, trade compliance, or freight forwarding.
Knowledge of Irish, EU, and international customs regulations.

Responsibilities

Manage Freight, Duty, Customs and Trade Compliance with strategic & tactical direction.
Collaborate with peer groups to align priorities.
Develop and implement strategies and plans in support of site & Corp goals.
Manage inbound/outbound freight logistics.
Manage Freight & Duty budget.
Evaluate and audit service providers for compliance and SLA.
Maintain Customs & Duty controls & reporting.
Maintain Trade compliance governance.
Collaborate with external agencies and peer groups.
Deliver all project plans and milestones.
