Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in Dublin is seeking a Senior Town Planner to lead planning applications from feasibility to consent. You will prepare reports and supporting documentation, and provide strategic planning advice to a diverse client base.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, liaise with authorities and stakeholders, and attend hearings where required, driving projects from concept to planning consent.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master's qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience within a planning consultancy or local authority.
• Eligible for membership, or membership, of the Irish Planning Institute and/or RTPI.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish planning system, planning legislation and development management process.
• Experience preparing planning applications, planning reports and planning appraisals.
• Excellent report writing, stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple planning projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage planning applications from feasibility through to planning determination.
• Prepare high-quality planning reports, planning statements and supporting documentation.
• Provide strategic planning advice and planning due diligence to a diverse client base.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams throughout the planning process.
• Liaise with local authorities, statutory bodies and key project stakeholders.
• Attend client meetings, planning consultations and oral hearings where required.
