Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join a Dublin-based practice delivering diverse public and private-sector planning projects across Ireland. You will prepare applications, conduct research, provide strategic advice, and support complex developments while liaising with authorities and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Irish Planning Institute-accredited Town Planning qualification is required.
• 1+ years’ professional planning experience preferred for Town Planners.
• Knowledge of the Irish planning system and current legislation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good research and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Motivated, enthusiastic approach and strong interpersonal skills.
• Membership of the Irish Planning Institute, RTPI or similar desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage planning applications.
• Undertake planning research and development appraisals.
• Provide strategic planning advice to clients.
• Prepare planning reports and supporting documentation.
• Assist with planning appeals and submissions.
• Contribute to Development Plan and Local Area Plan submissions.
• Support Environmental Impact Assessment work.
• Liaise with planning authorities, clients and stakeholders.
• Attend meetings and manage deadlines while developing client relationships.
• Support junior team members and work on complex projects.
